Richard A. Burke has been in the public accounting field since 1994 working at various public accounting firms in NYC. A few years after gaining his CPA license he decided to open his own firm, Burke and Burke Accountants Corp, serving individuals and small businesses in New York City and Long Island. Rich gained a special appreciation for tax planning and legal tax avoidance strategies, compliance, and IRS audit representation while working for Big 5 firm Arthur Andersen LLP preparing partner returns. Rich holds an accounting degree from Hofstra University and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant. Rich specializes in taxation for individuals, businesses, and not-for profit enterprises and has done incorporations of sole proprietorships providing asset protection and tax benefits where applicable. Rich especially enjoys working with small business clients assisting them with payroll and financial service plan offerings to owners and their employees with a view to reducing on-going administrative costs while being compliant with federal, state, and local regulatory.
